We are having a few days off and the Wool Boat and our web shop are closed for a couple of weeks.

We plan to re-open in the 1st week of May.

Carole’s Sunday stitches will continue of course and Col will be adding pictures to his photo albums of our trip away.

Opening plans for this week for the floating Lancashire Wool shop

Hi all, here we go again with this week’s Sunday Stitches. Still on Emma Maye, as it’s been a cool wind here in West Lancashire today. But at least you get a look down the boat to the pans hung up in the galley. This week’s stitching is a stripey jumper for a mate. Based on a pattern from the Peter Gregory booklet AK10. Carole

It’s a blue Sunday Stitches today.

I’m Sunday Stitching away working on another shawl knitting with “Swurly Wurley” in shades of blues and greys known as “Stormy Sea’s”, from the pattern that I carry around in my head, never felt the need to write it down.

Stormy sea’s is quite apt today as the canal has been a bit wavey with the strong winds around here.

As spring is here and it’s generally getting warmer it’s time to get the leggings out, bought from Funky Fitness a couple of years ago. The t shirt is from the Tring brewery again bought a good few years ago.

And to top it all off to protect a new set of specs a blue glasses case from Spec Savers.

All of this blue just fell into place, no fashion planning involved!

Carole has recently produced a new hat, and this one is a bit special.

She has knitted this one from a pure wool yarn which has been produced from wool, reared, sheared and spun in Britian.

The yarn has been produced with a donation from each ball sold going to the Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity.

So your new hat will be helping British sheep famers and a breast cancer charity.

The hat is available from our website here, or come and pick it up from The Wool Boat.
