Welcome to Colin and Carole's Creations website, the online mooring of The Wool boat "Emma Maye" , based in Burscough on The Leeds and Liverpool canal. The unique floating shop for exclusive and commissioned hand knitted garments, photo art, wool, yarns and knitting supplies.

J C Bretts Woodlander no longer being produced, but we are taking West Yorkshire Spinners "Aire Valley" DK aboard.

Carole now has a Etsy shop here

               as at times we feel there isn't quite enough colour in the world. 

We're now off on holiday for just over a week and plan to be open again back at Burscough Wharf on Sunday the 26th and Monday the 27th of November when we will be celebrating Lancashire day by highlighting the Lancashire Farm Aran we have aboard.

New Yarn aboard  

Harmony DK Yarn 

J C Bretts Harmony DK yarn.

This yarn is 78% Premium acrylic and 22% Cotton yarn in a double knitting weight.

Each ball, of which there are six shades weighs 100gram and has 260 Meters or 284 yards in the ball.

This yarn knits to most DK patterns and we have 6 patterns that have been especially written for the yarn.

Each ball is £4.20, or £3.80 for Teds mates rate's J.

Brindley with northern lights

The Wool boats mascot "Brindley" has some new yarn for you.

J C Bretts Northern lights, "one ball-one shawl"

This yarn is 95% Premium acrylic and 5% Viscose yarn in a double knitting weight.

Each ball, of which there are five shades in the range, weighs 150gram and has 450 Meters or 492 yards in the ball.

On the ball band is a pattern for a adult sized shawl, which can be knitted from a ball.

Each ball is £6, or £5.40 for Teds mates rate's J.

                  Knitted from Merino wool, can now be ordered for £15.

About six  years ago we started The Wool Boats knit and natter group in The Slipway, and since then there has been a meeting nearly every Thursday since, around the Burscough area, at the moment in The Farmers Arm's on New Lane. The meeting still goes on even if we're not there, so feel free to join them from 1pm.

    We are now members of The Roving Canal Traders Association as we rove the canals

 This details all the yarns they produce and whilst we carry good stocks of alot of their range what we havn't got in stock we can order in for you, and remember that we will not demand that you take all of the pack that our supplies are delivered in, if you just need one ball thats all you'll need to complete your projects.
