Each of Carole’s Creations is a truly unique garment or item, she has a wide range of experience and loves creating garments from yarn, as long as it’s not too small, she isn’t into toy knitting.

Fairground V Neck jumper
Fairground jumper
A V neck jumper hand knitted aboard the narrow boat “Emma Maye” in Lancashire by Carole Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations. Created from a shade of “Fairground” from J C Brett’s (shade no G11) which is an acrylic yarn. Colours are shades of pink, blues and fawn’s.
This shade of this yarn is now out of production but as of the 6.2.2023 Carole has enough in stock to reproduce two of these garments

Over Christmas 2022 Carole has been working on a idea for some thick and snuggly angle warmers, leg warmers and neck warmers. These prototype garments are not for sale, but similar ones can be hand knitted from any of the DK weight yarns that we have aboard the Wool Boat, please feel free to get in touch and discuss your desires. Orange Harmony leg warmers
A pair of lovely cosy thick leg warmers in shades of orange hand knitted aboard the narrow boat “Emma Maye” in Lancashire by Carole Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations.
These leg warmers are knitted from a discontinued yarn called “Harmony” which was produced by James C Brett though Carole does have a few balls left in her stash of yarns.
These are a mock up for a idea for a new line of garments, and now Carole is happy to hand knit these to order from a range of colours of the DK yarn’s we have aboard The Wool Boat including the few balls of Harmony she has left.

Garment 524 Party Time chunky scarf PT 3 Pink, Purple and lilac chunky scarf. A long and warm bright scarf designed and hand knitted by Carole Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations and The Wool Boat. This is an adult sized garment, knitted from a chunky yarn, with a chevron pattern in shades of pink, purple and lilac. It is ideal for keeping warm on a windy winter’s day whilst doing some gardening, locking, bicycling, standing markets, fishing, watching outdoor sports and events, or walking and rambling. The garment is approx 72 inch long and 11 inches wide. The warmer is knitted from J C Bretts “Party Time” chunky knitting acrylic yarn Shade PT 3 which has bold pink, purple and lilac shades in it. The yarn knits to most chunky knitting patterns and is available from the Wool Boat of which we have a range of 7 other shades at £3.50 per 100 gram ball. Garment 524 Cw 7730

A traditional aran jumper long hand knitted by Carole Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations and The Wool Boat. This is an adult sized garment, knitted from an aran with wool with yarn, which makes for a very warm garment. It has a crew neck with rope and honey comb cables featured in the design. The garment is to fit a 42 inch chest, while the back is 28inch long and the sleeves are 18 inch long. This was commissioned garment and could be reproduced for about £85 depending on size. The jumper is knitted from J C Bretts “Aran with Wool” which is 80% Premium acrylic and 20% Wool. This is shade no 4AR64. Copyright Colin Wareing Garment 537 Cw 7774

A life in Motorbikes scarf
Carole was contacted by a chap from Wigan who over the years has owned a number of motorbikes. He wondered if Carole would be able to create him a scarf with blocks of colour representing each of the motorbikes. He had start with a Honda C90 which was red and his current bike is grey, with another eight in between, with significant initials on the white end piece.
Carole has knitted the scarf from an acrylic yarn and the finished scarf was about 7inch wide and 7 feet long and the chap was made up with it.
Having thought about this a bit the idea could be expanded to perhaps represent your life in cars, lorries, scooters, houses, boats, holidays, favourite T V programme, thinking Blue Peter here, or anything that you have had a few of and can be represented by a colour.

A Monochrome Dragon tooth scarf hand knitted aboard the narrow boat “Emma Maye” in Lancashire by Carole Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations. This unique garment is an adult sized scarf, knitted from Marble yarn. The yarn is produced by James C Brett and this is shade no MT1. The garment is created from a yarn with shades of Blacks, greys and whites. The shawl is 76 inch long and 12 inch deep at its widest point and has about 62 dragon’s teeth. The yarn is a acrylic one, so easy care.
