About us

Where and when is The Wool Boat open?

The Wool Boat is based on the canal narrow boat “Emma Maye”. During the winter we are based on the Leeds and Liverpool canal in the Burscough area of Lancashire. Over the summer we cruise the inland waterways of the country. This means
we will keep this website up dated as to where and when we plan to be open.

Carole’s Etsy shop from where you can purchase many of her hand knitted garments, though if you want anything special, a commissioned one? Feel free to give us a ring.

The Wool Boat’s opening plans for the 4th week of September 2020.
We are moored just along the towpath towards Burscough and open until 4 today Sunday the 27th near the Slipway pub on Crabtree Lane near Burscough (L40 0RN) where there is planned a Artisan and Craft fair, open from 10 until 4. Carole and Capt Col

We are moored near the Slipway pub, which is now doing food again along with drinks of course and has a good handy car park. We are about 100 yards down the towpath on the opposite side of the canal from the pub.
