We quite like Derbyshire and visit often, which gives Col a chance to try out some photography that isn’t on the flat lands of West Lancashire.

The Victoria Inn in Alfreton. On Nottingham Road not far from Alfreton F.C in Alfreton in Derbyshire stands the Victoria Inn. The pub is a traditional 2 roomed free house, with a friendly welcome.

Station Hotel Alfreton 12.8.2023
The Station Hotel in Alfreton. On Mansfield Road just about 500 yards from the railway station in Alfreton in Derbyshire stands the former Station Hotel. The pub was part of the James Hole & Co. Ltd, of the Castle Brewery, Albert Street, Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire. The company stopped brewing in 1983 by which time it was part of the Courage company. The building now seems to have been converted into flats or offices.
