Lymm is a lovely small town that straddles the Bridgewater Canal in Cheshire. Every year the town holds a festival that brings the town together and covers lots of activity. On one of the Sundays the theme is transport when the canal and town throng with boats and old cars, tractors, lorries, motorbikes and traction engines which brings lots of people to look, view, ask questions and reminisce about tackle they used to have, or their dad did!
On transport day there are all forms of vintage transport on show including about 20 former working boats on the canal and 12 steam traction engines and rollers on the car park next to the canal.
I went along on the day and concentrated on boats and traction engines as they are my thing.
