Back in 2011 Carole formed a knit and natter group in the pub near The Wool Boats mooring.
The pub is The Slipway so the group became known as The Slipway Stitchers.
They meet on a Thursday afternoon, fron 1 o clock in the pub, unless the weather is really warm and then they may be in the garden.
There is no charge, just turn up with your knitting or crochet or any other stitching, for a relaxing afternoon of stitching and nattering.

As the Slipway was closed we were able to have our knit and natter in one of the cabins next door. What a lovely relaxing afternoon in a beautiful place.

Post box toppers, one of our regular folks, Jayne, has been featured on CBS news in America talking about Post Box toppers, this link will take you to the clip on U Tube
This year’s, 2024, Slipway Stitchers Christmas meal at The Slipway. A grand time was had by all. Thanks to The Slipway for hosting us, as they do every Thursday afternoon for our knit and natter. Thanks to Lexi for taking the pic.

Some of the Slipway Stitchers are coming to the end of their Summer Saturday knit and natter afternoon at the Slipway pub near Burscough. It was the hottest day of the year so far, so they were glad of the shade of the umbrella and the liquid refreshment though it was a bit hot for much stitching. The group normally gather in the pub on a Thursday afternoon for a knit, crochet and natter from 1 pm and welcome anyone to come and join them. From left to right, Ali, Carole and Liz.
